What we buy

Silverplate is why we exist: the bulky, heavy sets nobody else will touch. Sterling, coins, gold and whole estate boxes are welcome in the same box: published categories are paid at their posted prices, quote categories are quoted in writing, and everything is itemized on your receipt. Silverplate (EP, EPNS)

The sets, trays and tea services every other Canadian buyer refuses in writing. Flat published prices by the pound, and holloware and knives have their own published prices.

Flatware $10 per pound. Holloware $7, knives $3.50.

Sterling silver flatware

Full sets, orphan serving pieces, tea services, trays. The most underpaid category in Canada; send it in the same box as your plate.

Pre-1967 dimes, quarters, halves and dollars, welcome in the same box, quoted in writing before anything is processed. Rare dates priced in the quote, never melted.

Each piece at its published rate

We are a metal value buyer. Every payment is for the metal in your items, at published rates, documented on an itemized receipt. We do not appraise collectibles and we are not an auction house. A signed piece or complete set from a known maker can be worth more whole than melted: if you think you have one, email a photo to contact@silverplatecanada.ca first and we will say so plainly before you ship. Silver coins are quoted in writing before anything is processed, and a clearly rare date is priced individually in the quote instead of being melted.

No published grid for these. Call us or note it on your label request, and we contact you with a written quote before processing. Nothing in these categories is processed until you approve.
